Volunteering

We provide volunteering opportunities at Halfway. Volunteers works alongside our project workers, providing one-to-one support for clients, or helping run social activities and groups.
Volunteers will:
- work with the Volunteer Co-ordinator to ensure that the best and most appropriate
service is offered to the client.
- To take part in activities as your client wishes,
- To maintain confidentiality as defined within the service.
- To show respect to your client and to behave in an accepting, non-judgemental way, and without discrimination.
- To adhere to the policies and procedures of Community Action Halfway Home.

We select our volunteers very carefully and ensure that they are fully trained before they are introduced to the client. We are looking for volunteers of all ages and backgrounds who reflect the diversity of cultures in Sheffield.

What you can expect from us:
- Training
- Regular support and supervision
- Expenses
- The opportunity to gain new experience and make a difference to other people lives
- Provision of a reference
