Supported accommodation
Community Action Halfway Home has a variety of shared and self contained accommodation. All our properties have yearly gas and electrical checks; they also have quarterly fire alarm and equipment testing.  All small electrical equipment is also tested yearly.

Bedrooms
All the bedrooms are furnished to a high standard and clients are provided with a new mattress, set of bedding and towels when they first move in.
In line with License & Tenancy Agreements, staff will only access your bedroom:
- In an emergency
- For health and safety reasons
- To repair fixtures and fittings in room (clients will be given prior notice)
- By agreement, to work on an identified support need
- To carry out annual/quarterly checks in line with licence/tenancy agreement

Other rooms In the shared houses there is a comfortable, fully equipped lounge.  All kitchens are fitted with modern appliances.

All clients at Community Action Halfway Home are encouraged to live independently and to participate in the running of the house.
CLEANING
The communal areas of the house are cleaned weekly by a cleaner who is also available to help individuals if required. The responsibility of keeping bedrooms clean is the clients’. Halfway will provide cleaning materials.
COOKING
Clients buy their own food and cook their own meals. If needed, staff can help with shopping, budgeting and meal planning.
VISITORS
Clients are encouraged to have visitors but we do have guidelines for clients to follow. Please contact the office for more information.
WASHING
Each house or flat has a washing machine; clients are responsible for doing their own washing.

KEYS
Clients have a key to their bedroom and to the front door. A refundable key deposit is required prior to someone moving in.
RELIGIOUS AND CULTURAL NEEDS If clients have specific cultural, dietary or religious needs, Halfway will try to ensure their needs are met. Staff can give you information on places of worship or clubs of interest in the local area.
